This is so scary. Caitlyn Jenner may face a year in jail as a result of the car accident earlier this year which left one driver dead, according to an report published by the sheriff.
Back in February, Caitlyn Jenner, 65, was involved in a horrific four-car accident which, tragically, killed one driver. Now, more than six months later, the L.A. County Sheriff’s department has published a 161-page report detailing the incident– and Caitlyn was not only found at fault for violating vehicular manslaughter, but she may also face up to one year in prison because of it. We’ve got the horrifying details, as well as EXCLUSIVE insight on how Caitlyn is feeling ahead of the verdict.
The investigation concluded that Caitlyn did break the law by driving at speeds that were lawfully unsafe. However, she was not actually going above the speed limit. Caitlyn was going under the speed limit, but was driving too fast for the traffic conditions at that time, which were either completely or nearly stopped, according to a law enforcement source who spoke with TMZ. “[She] should have either been going 0 or just barely rolling,” another source said.
In straight legal talk, Caitlyn violated Penal Code secant 192(c)(2) which is the misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter law. The case will now be sent to the office of the district attorney, where next steps will be determined.
If the court does convict Caitlyn, she could face up to one full year in county jail, as dictated by the offense. Sources say that the case will be reviewed on Aug. 26, though no date has been confirmed.
While Caitlyn is terrified of what the outcome of the case will be, she is attempting to have faith. “Once again, that awful tragedy is coming back to haunt Caitlyn. She’s tried so hard to block it from her mind yet somehow, it keeps coming back,” a source revealed to us EXCLUSIVELY. “Caitlyn would by lying if she said this latest news about the crash isn’t worrying her. It is. If the absolute worse happened, she could do time in jail and that scares her — tremendously. Be that as it may, she’s sure that the universe won’t punish her for the tragic accident. She absolutely had no intent of causing that accident that left a woman dead.”
Do you think Caitlyn deserves to serve jail time for the accident?
