Amy Duggar is finally speaking out about her cousin Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal. She claims that she was not one of the five victims Josh admitted to molesting when he was teen. Find out what she had to say about Josh right in the midst of his latest scandal surrounding an alleged Ashley Madison account.
The Duggar family has been rocked by scandal over the last few months surrounding Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s eldest child, Josh Duggar, 27. He confessed to molesting five girls, including two of his sisters, when he was younger, but cousin Amy Duggar was not one of the other two victims. In an all-new interview, Amy speaks out for the first time since the molestation scandal surfaced.
“I was not part of it at all,” she told PEOPLE. “I wasn’t anywhere near any of that.” She also revealed that Josh’s secret was kept from the rest of the family, and she was shocked when the news broke. “I didn’t know about it. It took me by surprise.”
Before Amy’s interview, speculation was running wild that she was one of the victims. Josh’s sisters Jill, 24, and Jessa Duggar, 22, were two of the five victims. Amy is busy planning her upcoming wedding to fiance Dillon King and admitted the family has moved on from the scandal, even though it has changed their lives forever. 19 Kids & Counting was cancelled after the molestation scandal emerged. “Honestly, I don’t even think about it,” she said. “I think we’re all past it.”
Josh is currently in the middle of another scandal. He allegedly paid for two memberships to the cheating website Ashley Madison, which was recently hacked. He allegedly spent almost $1K on the accounts. According to a shocking report, he had a wish list that included oral sex and sex toys and allegedly listed “natural breasts” and “high sex drive” as his turn-ons.
