Captain Jack, you’re looking mighty fine! Johnny Depp proves in a new fragrance ad for Dior that he looks just as great in the desert as he does at sea. Dior Sauvage has made the right choice in their new spokesman — check out this teaser image for the campaign and try not to swoon.
Johnny Depp, 52, is a seasoned actor, and this time he’s starring in a sexy new advertising campaign and short film for an upcoming Dior scent. It’s become the norm for fragrances to release artsy short films to accompany the usual print ads, and this time we get a teaser for a mysterious commercial set to rock ‘n’ roll guitar music. From the 13-second video, which features urban Los Angeles at night, and the still photo of Johnny in the middle of the desert, we can surmise that a great escape will be made. Take us with you, Johnny!!
While it’s a shock to see Johnny participating in a project that isn’t directed by Tim Burton, it’s not hard to swallow Johnny Depp as a new international fragrance hunk. If Brad Pitt can do it, why not Edward Scissorhands? Anyway, we can’t take our eyes off this new photo, which shows Johnny in a dark button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to show off his tattoos, and armloads of jewelry.
Check out the teaser below:
There’s Plenty More Johnny Depp To Come & We Love It
Johnny has plenty of things in the pipeline, including May 2016’s Alice Through The Looking Glass film (yep, another Tim Burton-produced movie)! At Walt Disney Studios’ D23 weekend exposition on Aug. 14, Johnny surprised fans after they got an early taste of the Alice in Wonderland sequel. The Disney film finds Alice (Mia Wasikowska) returning to Wonderland again as an adult, this time to save the fantasy world from old foes (the Queen of Hearts AKA Helena Bonham Carter) and new villains like the Lord of Time (Sacha Baron Cohen). At least the Mad Hatter (Johnny) is on Alice’s side! Johnny will also bring back Captain Jack in 2017’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
