It’s been a rough few months in Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox’s relationship — and they’ve reportedly decided to end things after 11 years together! And, shockingly, it was her intense focus on career that caused all the fighting. Yikes!
Is Megan Fox, 29, simply to independent to be settled down?! The actress and her husband, Brian Austin Green, 42, reportedly called it quits on their marriage because she was too career-oriented, and he thought she didn’t pay enough attention to the family they created together.
“Things have been rocky,” an insider told Us Weekly. “They fight about her career. He would prefer she focus on the family more than being obsessed with getting roles.” The mag reports that the stars actually separated six months ago because Megan was off doing “her own thing” more and more.
It’s interesting, though — Megan and Brian welcomed their first son, Noah, in Sept. 2012 and their second, Bodhi, in Feb. 2014, and since Noah’s birth, Megan has only filmed three movies. It certainly doesn’t seem like she’s over-exerting herself in the work department! Of course, we don’t know how many roles she’s been working to get behind the scenes, so that could be what’s bugging her hubby, who starred in two TV series, Wedding Band and Anger Management, since Noah was born.
Although Megan and Brian had their kids recently, relationship troubles have plagued them in the past. The pair met and began dating in 2004, when she was just 18 and he was 30. They got engaged in 2006, but broke things off three years later, and, at the time, the actress admitted 23 was far too young for her to be thinking about marriage. But it didn’t take long to change her mind — Brian re-proposed in June 2010, and they tied the knot within three weeks.
