We said goodbye to some seriously amazing acts on the Aug. 19 results show of ‘America’s Got Talent.’ 12 acts were on stage at the show’s start, only seven advanced– and one live save had us losing our minds!
Following the insanely amazing performances last night on America’s Got Talent, we knew Aug. 19 was going to bring a nail biting results show– and we were right. Next week, we start the semifinals which means tonight is, like, so major. Not only were three amazing acts put in the bottom three, but we got to save one of ’em right in live time! Who went on to the next round? Who went buh-bye? Check out a full recap?
At the very top of the show we got right to our bottom three: Ira, 3 Shades of Blue and Freckled Sky. But it’s not all bad news! One of them would be saved within 30 minutes by audience voting. This is live and it’s intense, people!
Anyways, onto who is safe right now. Here’s who made it through:
Uzeyer Novruzov: He literally fell to the ground from sheer joy. So special.
Arielle Baril: The incredible, young singer makes it through, to the shock of about no one. Very deserved!
The Craig Lewis Band: They look so, so relieved. “You guys have always been consistently good singers making smart choices,” Howard Stern said. Agreed.
Sharon Irving: Aw, she immediately burst into tears when she heard her name, before taking to the mic to thank the judges and the audience. “This is about inspiring people,” she said.
Derek Hughes: He was totally calm and gracious, shaking his competitor’s hand (while probably dying with happiness on the inside). “I’m excited,” he said. Understatement of the century.
Oh gosh, guys, it’s time for the live save! The act going through (thanks to our texting!) is… Ira– and his puppets of course! Man, oh man, that was very deserved but it could have been any one of them, right?
Finally, it’s time for our final semifinalist. Are you sweating? We’re sweating. The final person going through is (drum roll please) Shades of Blue!
What do you think of your semifinalists, guys? Did the right people go through?
