The LAPD is investigating a company that allegedly tried to lure female models into prostitution…but how is Amber Rose involved?! An Instagram ad claimed SHE was helping choose who would be picked!
An old video of Amber Rose, 31, is being used for a purpose she probably NEVER expected! A Los Angeles company is being investigated for allegedly trying to rope women into prostitution — and they reportedly used a video of Amber to help bring in models for the job.
The company advertised on Instagram that it was looking for models “for a paid celebrity photo shoot and clothing line,” according to TMZ. Those who responded to the ad were told Amber was helping make the decisions, and were reportedly set up on a FaceTime chat with the 31-year-old.
Once they were called in, the models saw a grainy image of Amber, struggling with a bad connection before the call dropped. But, as the site points out, this footage actually just comes from an old Ustream video Wiz Khalifa’s ex shot, and was just made to look like she was on the phone. Yikes!! The whole scheme was allegedly an attempt to lure the models into prostitution: The company would tell the models they were setting them up on dates with wealthy men, only to text them and ask if they were willing to be intimate. If they agreed, bigger projects would come their way, the company in question claimed. The LAPD caught wind of this on Aug. 17, when one of the models finally filed a police report making these allegations.
Amber has yet to make a statement or acknowledge the use of her video in this, or whether or not she had any knowledge of it.
