Bye, haters! That’s essentially what Ed Sheeran said when he started getting a bunch of grief over the huge lion tattoo. The singer defended his ‘weird tattoo’ against those who criticized his decision to get a colorful chest piece!
Ed Sheeran, 24, likes his new tattoo and that’s all that matters. The “Don’t” singer was getting quite a bit of flack for the large lion tattoo across his chest. So, Ed decided to stop the negativity by defending his new piece of ink! See what the singer had to say about it here.
The singer revealed a massive lion tattoo on his chest on Instagram and it certainly stunned a lot of people. “All this kerfuffle over a tattoo. If it was black and white saying a clever phrase in a language I can’t speak no one would’ve said anything,” Ed tweeted on Aug. 12. Well, the talented guitarist does make a very good point. If he did get a cool saying, he probably would’ve been praised for how thoughtful it is! But, that wasn’t all Teddy had to say about his new piece of ink.
Ed went on to tweet after his initial post, “It’s not the first weird tattoo I’ve got and it won’t be the last, but I like all of them. I’m also eating a bowl of pasta now so byeziez x.” That’s definitely one way to shut all the haters down. The 23-year-old is right, he isn’t a stranger to odd tattoos. Ed has a bunch of interesting tattoos on both of his arms. Each of them have a cool meaning behind them. On one of his arms, Ed has the Heinz ketchup logo inked to signify the start of his 2012 tour in Columbus, Ohio. Pretty cool, right?
Ed Explains His Decision To Get A Lion Tattoo
The Ginger singer’s newest tattoo certainly has an meaning behind it. It’s supposed to commemorate the fact that Ed sold out all three shows at the Wembley Stadium in July 2015. However, an image of a lion wasn’t his first choice to remember his big career milestone. “Originally I was going to get the floor plan tattooed on my side, but that seemed a bit ridiculous,” Ed told BBC. Instead, the 24-year-old chose a lion that represents the England football team’s logo. “It’s going to hurt.” It looked like it hurt. Big time.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Did Ed’s carefree attitude towards his new chest piece make you change your mind about it?
