So. Many. Tears. Joe’s sketchy (that’s the nice word) behavior finally got the best of him this week, when Juelia and Jade puled Samantha aside to fill her in on the real guy he is.
What happens when you get caught in lie? You tell another one to cover it up — or at least try. That’s what happened when Samantha and Joe had completely different stories about how much they talked before heading on Bachelor In Paradise. Let me try and break this down. Bare with me.
Apparently Sam is too cool for school! Right when Juelia tried telling her the truth about what happened, she stopped the conversation and wanted Joe to be part of the conversation, basically not trusting her friend. Then Tanner dropped the bomb: Joe had showed him screenshots of texts Sam sent him saying to do anything it takes to stay in paradise until she gets there.
Things got even more awkward when Tanner and Jared wanted to talk about with him — and Sam pushed them and the cameras out. But you know the cameras still caught their convo. She told him that she told the producers that they only had talked on social media and that she never wanted to talk to him before hand. When he told her that he already told the guys that they had talked, she advised him to backtrack and tell them he messaged her but she didn’t want to be part of it. and it just worked out really well when they got there.
Did you get all of that? I had a hard time following, and I watched it! Here’s the video just in case:
Oh And The Other Couples Were There Too
Then came Amber, a close friend of Ashley S. from Chris Soules’ season, and after Dan dumped Ashley last week, she definitely was excited to see a friendly face. However, the first thing that friendly face did was ask out Dan. Unlike Joe, Dan took the time to talk to Ashley first — he got all the points, but Ashley still felt really confused about how his feelings just kind of stopped. This prompted the return of nutty Ashley — who we missed SO much.
During Amber and Dan’s date they made out, a lot, because obviously they weren’t eating. Also on a date was Megan and JJ (who I totally forgot about), but when JJ got back and heard about the Samantha/Joe/Juelia drama, he was not happy. He did not like that Juelia was screwed over (ie. he’s actually a man). The argument they had may be one of the best we’ve seen in some time, and included JJ talking about “circularity,” Jared referring to himself in the third person, and Joe calling JJ the dumbest person he’s ever met. This ended with Joe walking away, and JJ calling him back so that he could punch his teeth out.
Tanner put it well: Juelia didn’t come here to be a placeholder or a stepping stone. Get it, Tanner! Hold on to this one, Jade. I’m honestly very impressed to see the men all getting defensive of Juelia — shows that these are really good guys. What do you think, HollywoodLifers?
