Is there anyone more fitting for the role? Ronda Rousey is pushing hard to play Captain Marvel by posting fan art of her styled like the comic book hero. Read what the toughest woman on the planet has to say about it here!
Well, she’s certainly tough enough for the part! Ronda Rousey, 28, has recently been lobbying to play the part of superhero Captain Marvel in an all-new comic-book movie, and we couldn’t think of anyone more suitable for the role given her fighting prowess.
The UFC fighting champ, who beat rival Bethe Correia in less than a minute at a championship fight on Aug. 1, revealed in her Reddit AMA recently that she would love to play Captain Marvel/Ms. Marvel. And since then, she’s received tons of fan art that shows just how great she would look in the role!
“Since the reddit AMA I’ve received so many badass Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel edits! There were so many cool ones I couldn’t pick just one to share – here’s 1 series of 2 Big thank you to contributing artists: @bosslogix (two on right) and @salman.artworks (left),” she captioned an Instagram photo of fan sketches.
Captain Marvel/Ms. Marvel, a.k.a. Carol Danvers, will be getting her own standalone film in 2018 as part of Marvel’s Phase Three. We actually couldn’t think of a better person to play the role — not only has Ronda stretched her acting skills in the Sylvester Stallone movie Expendables 3, Ronda’s tough as nails. You wouldn’t want to mess with her. As for the art work, her chiseled body is perfect to fit into spandex, judging by these excellent sketches fans created for her. Well done, everyone!
Ronda Rousey Speaks Out On Conquering Bulimia
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Ronda destroyed Bethe in a thrilling UFC 190 fight in Rio De Janiero within 34 seconds of the first round on Aug. 1, drawing praise from celeb fans including Will Smith and Alex Morgan.
But while she’s undefeated in the octagon ring, her biggest challenge has been overcoming bulimia.
During her Reddit AMA Q&A, one user asked her how it felt to have conquered those demons and Ronda had an interesting answer. “Thanks for the kind words. It feels very liberating to free of the guilt that used to come with every meal,” the UFC champion said. “And I feel like I have so much extra space in my brain now that I’m not constantly thinking about the next meal and trying to eat as much as possible every day while still losing weight. I feel amazing. I (think) I look amazing. And I just ate some bomb-ass french toast this morning.”
