It must be your ‘unbirthday,’ because we have a gift for you! In the midst of Walt Disney Studios’ D23 weekend, a first look of ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’ was shared with ravenous fans ready to jump down the rabbit hole. Check out the first posters for the sequel!

Are you ready to go back to Wonderland? Before Disney teased the highly-anticipated sequel to Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland on Aug. 14, fans got an early taste of Alice Through the Looking Glass with the reveal of the first posters! The Mad Hatter himself, Johnny Depp, later surprised fans at the Disney D23 Expo. What a day!

The film, which opens May 2016, finds Alice returning to Wonderland yet again as an adult, this time to save the fantasy world from an evil Lord of Time and a nefarious plot by the Queen of Hearts to regain the throne.

The first posters released for the film proves the sequel is going to be even more whimsical than the first. The posters shows Alice (Mia Wasikowska) and the Mad Hatter (Johnny) standing at the end of a pathway of clocks that surface unevenly out of the water like rocks. The tagline reads, “It’s time for a little madness.” You got that right!

The Mad Hatter has his back turned to us, but we know it’s him by the outfit, of course! Meanwhile, Alice looks all grown up. She’s wearing quite the colorful outfit, with splashes of purple, green and orange.

In addition to Johnny and Mia, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway are also returning as the Red Queen and the White Queen. Rhys Ifans, Sacha Baron Cohen, Michael Sheen and Alan Rickman have also joined the cast.

At Disney’s D23 Expo, Johnny became a member of the 2015 class of Disney Legends. He was honored for his contributions to the Walt Disney Brand. As we all know, before he was the Mad Hatter, Johnny was already a part of the Disney family. He’s played Captain Jack Sparrow in a number of Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be released in 2017.

Alice Through the Looking Glass will be released in theaters May 27, 2016.
