Because who doesn’t want more ‘Kindergarten Cop’? A sequel to the classic film, which will star Dolph Lundgren, is in route to our eyes and ears– and we’ve got a pic!

In Kindergarten Cop, the 1990 action-comedy which we all still adore today, Arnold Schwarzenegger played a rough and tumble cop who had to impersonate a kindergarten teacher in the line of duty. Now, 25 years later, we’re getting a sequel, Kindergarten Cop 2, and Dolph Lundgren is stepping into those crime-fighting (and child-rearing) shoes. The flick, which will debut on DVD at an unspecified date, has just revealed an amazing pic from the set!

Dolph will not be playing the exact role which Arnold played, Detective John Kimble. Rather, Dolph will bring to life a different character entirely, with some 21st century problems. He will portray a cop that goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher, however, it’s with the intention to find a flash drive which has gone missing from the Federal Witness Protection Program. Oh, and he’s also on the run from evil Albanians. Super casual.

Though Arnold is not set to appear in the film (not yet anyway), he and Dolph have actually worked together before! The two starred alongside each other in the massive 2010 film, Expendables. On the creative side of the movie, Don Michael Paul (who directed Jarhead 2) will spearhead, and David H. Steinberg (who wrote American Pie 2) will helm the script.

Anyways, we’ve now got our first real look at the film, thanks to a picture shared on Twitter. In the photo, we see Dolph– surrounded by kindergarteners– looking all business, obviously. Check out the Tweet below!

Are you guys excited for the Kindergarten Cop sequel? Or should they let the classic remain untouched?
