Wait, is that supposed to be Tom Brady? Tom was barely recognizable in a courtroom sketch of his first ‘Deflate-Gate’ hearing! He looked hideous and the Internet had fun making memes of the unflattering portrait. Click to see!
Whether you’re a New England Patriots fan or not, it’s hard to deny that Tom Brady, 38, is a handsome guy. He certainly didn’t look great in a “Deflate-Gate” courtroom sketch. He came off less like a Superbowl Champion and more like a corpse — and the Internet had a blast with the picture!
Tom and his legal crew met NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in a New York district court for the first round of litigation regarding his “Deflate-Gate” suspension, reports US Weekly. The two sides met with Judge Richard Berman for this initial questioning. If the NFL and Tom can’t reach an agreement soon, they will meet for another court date on Aug. 19.
While we would love to see an end to “Deflate-Gate,” a settlement between Tom and the NFL means we’d be denied another chance for a hilarious and bizarre courtroom sketch of Tom! Cameras weren’t allowed in for this hearing, so courtroom artist Jane Rosenberg documented the event with an….interesting rendition of Tom.
WCVB sports director Scott Isaacs tweeted the image and the Internet quickly noticed how the sketch of Tom looked sickly and withered. Enter: the memes. From turning Tom into a zombie from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” to Disney’s Quasimodo, to even comparing Tom to Steve Buscemi, the Internet had fun with the image. There was even an appearance of Macaulay Culkin from Home Alone! Woof!

Not sure what the big deal is, we think Tom Brady’s courtroom sketch looks pretty accurate. pic.twitter.com/TfaTSkviEx

Wow! Or, should we say — Yikes! It didn’t take long for the courtroom artist to understand how she made a blunder. While speaking with Daniel Victor of The New York Times, Jane apologized for her drawing. “I apologize to Tom Brady for not making him as good-looking as he is.”
What do you think about Tom’s courtroom sketch, HollywoodLifers? Do you think it’s a good likeness or does it remind you too much of The Crypt Keeper?
