This is hilarious– and totally not suitable for work. In ‘Sleeping With Other People,’ Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis are addicted to sex, and are able to support one another in their respective diseases. But, as the saying goes, don’t piss where you eat. Watch the trailer!
Sleeping With Other People, which hits theaters on Sept. 11, is the not-so-typical rom-com you’ve been waiting for. Two people who lost their virginities to one another (Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie) run into each other– where else?– at a meeting for sex addicts. The two, sweetly, become a sort of platonic couple, in which sex with each other is forbidden, as it will likely ruin their relationship. How long can two (ridiculously good looking) humans keep that game up though, right?
“I went to a few meetings because my therapist suggested it might help with love addiction,” Alison explains to Jason as to why she found herself in the support group. “What’s your excuse?” she asks him.
“Some have suggested that I have a little bit of a problem staying faithful,” Jason retorts, as a very telling montage depicts exactly what he’s just copped to. Anyways, the two agree to be friends, putting into a place a system which must be enacted any time the sexual tension gets out of hand. They land on a codeword which, well, we’ll let you watch for yourself because it’s too cringe-worthy to say here.
The escapades start off harmless at first– well, relatively harmless. “Will you take molly with me and go to a kid’s birthday party?” Jason asks his new friend. “I literally thought you’d never ask,” she responds.
Along with the two charming leads, the film also features Amanda Peet, Adam Scott, OITNB star Natasha Lyonne and Billy Eichner. On the production side, it comes to us from the comedic minds of Adam McKay and Will Ferrell. In other words, it’s basically already our favorite movie of the year.
What do you think of the racy trailer? Will you check out Sleeping With Other People?
