Is Nick Viall ready to look for love as the next ‘Bachelor’? Find out why the two-time runner up said he’s ‘seriously considering’ signing on for the next season!
Could the third time be the charm for Nick Viall? The 34-year-old, who most recently came in second place to Shawn Booth on Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s season of The Bachelorette, might just give the dating show franchise one more shot (he also competed for Andi Dorfman‘s heart in 2014, when he again came up just short and landed in second place). Nick isn’t giving up yet, though! He’s finally speaking out on his Bach prospects, and the odds are actually looking good!
“I mean, to be perfectly honest, I would seriously consider it,” Nick said on the HuffPost podcast, “Here To Make Friends.” “It’s obviously an incredible opportunity,” he added.
Though it would be totally understandable for Nick to feel discouraged about going on the show once again, he explained why he still thinks it’s a great way to find love– for someone like him, anyway. “As a 34-year-old, having dated and having had relationships not working out, you learn about yourself, you learn about what you want,” he said. “I feel fortunate to be in a position in my life where I know who I am and I’m very comfortable in my own skin and what I’m looking for.”
In the meantime, while Nick awaits word from ABC to see if he gets tapped for the new season, has his dating life post-Bachelorette been set completely ablaze? Uh, not quite. “I am not currently dating anyone specific or exclusive,” he said. “I’m not really actively dating.” Well, we will remain pragmatic as to whether we were Team Nick or Team Shawn, but we will say that we are here to support you, Nick…in whatever way that may be.
