Khloe Kardashian wants a judge to sign off on her divorce from Lamar Odom ASAP. Although the estranged couple have both taken steps to finalize their divorce, Khloe wants a judge to officially end their marriage by signing off on the court documents NOW.
Wait, Khloe Kardashian, 31, and Lamar Odom, 35, are still married?! Although the two finally took steps to finalize their divorce ever since they separated in December 2013, the court has yet to finish processing their divorce papers. Meaning that by a technicality, Khloe and Lamar are still married in the eyes of the law.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star will have to wait to become a free woman, as the court system in L.A. is backed up. “Our judgement packages are back logged. We are working on cases received from April. The Kardashian/Odom case has NOT been finalized. We will probably address their case in three months depending on the workload from May and June, but that’s just a guess. A judge has NOT signed off on their divorce. It’s still waiting to be reviewed by our judgement unit. They are still technically married!” a court services rep tells Hollywoodlife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Khloe’s rush to get the documents signed comes after the scary encounter she had with Lamar outside of a SoulCycle studio in LA on Aug. 12. Even though KoKo has moved on with her life and is dating Houston Rocket’s James Harden, 25, since the start of summer, Lamar just can’t seem to move on.
Khloe Is Paranoid After Lamar Unexpectedly Ran Into Her
Khloe is so paranoid after Lamar ambushed her at SoulCycle, she’s taking all measures to make sure Lamar can’t get in touch with her. “She’s throwing out her phones, changing her passwords, she’s freaking out,” our source says. Before this incident, Khloe had praise for her ex. “Lamar is genuinely one of the best people I have ever met, and everyone says that when they meet him,” she told Complex magazine. But now Khloe is changing her tune and wants her marriage to Lamar behind her for good. The pair took steps to finalize their divorce on July 17.
HollywoodLifers, do you think the court should speed up their divorce after Lamar’s confrontation?
