‘Milk Brothers’: Mom Defends Breastfeeding Baby & Friend’s Son At Same Time

This is one of the strangest stories we've heard in a long time! A Pennsylvania mom is making headlines after deciding to breastfeed her son -- and her friend's son -- at the same time! Thoughtful or totally weird? Jessica Colletti, 27, is so in tune with breastfeeding her 18 month-old baby, Lucian, that she offered to do it for a friend! When pal Charlie Interrante was facing trouble nursing her own son, Mateo (now 16 months), Jessica stepped up to the plate and said she would feed him alongside her own son. It's a move that many are finding strange, and even a little disturbing. After posting a photo of her double breastfeeding gig on social media, the pic went viral, and her decision has been widely criticized.

“It just seemed like the natural thing to do because I was already feeding my son,” Jessica told the NY Daily News. She and Charlie met in 2014 at a photo shoot for new mothers, where Charlie expressed her frustrations about how she was having trouble breastfeeding her new baby. Her work demands left her unable to pump milk, and Mateo was sensitive to formula.

Jessica instantly offered to feed him herself, and Charlie was over the moon! Soon, she even moved in with Jessica and her husband, Ben, to make the arraignment easier. Not something we hear about very often! While people have been very critical, and a little uneasy about their choice to all live together, the women insist that nothing funny is going on. They “sexualize” breastfeeding, according to Jessica, and get the wrong idea.

What living together, and breastfeeding both babies has done, is bring the boys closer. “They’re milk brothers…they will always have that bond,” Jessica said. Charlie and Jessica have become insanely close as well. “She knew I was in pain every day,” Charlie said of her friend. “She’s the best mom I’ve ever known.”

This actually sounds really sweet. These two women clearly care about each other deeply, and are trying to do what they think is best for their children. And if they both think the situation is okay, then we’re not going to judge! You do you, ladies!

HollywoodLifers, do YOU think Jessica breastfeeding her friend’s child is heartwarming, or a little too weird? Tell us in the comments and be sure to take our poll!
