Miley Cyrus may have recently called out Taylor Swift for targeting women in her ‘Bad Blood’ video, but there was ‘no ill will towards’ T-Swizzle, according to a new report. She was just being honest, or as we like to say, ‘Oh, she’s just being Miley.’
Miley Cyrus, 22, didn’t mean to spark a new beef with Taylor Swift, 25, when she took a jab at the singer’s “Bad Blood” video in a recent interview with Marie Claire. She doesn’t “get the violence revenge thing,” but that’s just how she feels. Her comment was “not meant to be insulting to Taylor,” a new report claims. “The tone of what Miley said to Marie Claire was not meant to be insulting to Taylor. Miley was just being honest like she always is. She was saying she gets in trouble for showing her breasts and yet there is violence in another artist’s video. She was making a point but there was no ill will towards Taylor and she doesn’t hate her. She was not addressing Taylor herself, just the double standard of the video,” a source close to Miley told Us Weekly.
Phew. We’re happy to hear Miley didn’t mean to insult Taylor. But just because she “doesn’t hate” Taylor, doesn’t mean they won’t have an awkward run-in at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 30. Miley is hosting and Taylor is set to attend. And a Taylor source told the magazine, “They’re not friends.” Uh oh. Whether or not Miley wants to admit it, it definitely sounds like there’s some bad blood between the singers. Taylor’s actually “dreading” their potential confrontation at the awards show, HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY learned.
