The September covers just keep coming, and ‘ELLE’ just revealed four looks with the always gorgeous Keira Knightley. The actress and new mom showed off an ’80s-inspired beauty look with bold lips, bright shadow and big hair.

Keira Knightley, 30, helped ELLE magazine celebrate its 30th anniversary (and her own 30th birthday) with four September covers, including a stunningly bold makeup look for the ‘Best Of Beauty’ cover. We got the inside scoop from Keira’s makeup artist, Romy Soleimani, so you can recreate her colorful looks for yourself.

We’ve been missing Keira from red carpets and magazine covers lately, but the fashion savvy Brit made a majorly glamorous return three months after giving birth to daughter Edie with her ELLE covers. For her makeup-centered shoot, Romy Soleimani, Beauty Director at Large for Beauty.com gave Keira smokey purple eyes, flushed pink cheeks and a bright red lip — here’s how to get the look.

For Keira’s eyes, Romy started with By Terry Eye Designer Palette in 2 Colour Design, using the purple shades across the lids and blending out just above the crease. For added dimension, she applied By Terry Crayon Khol in Royal Navy to the outer corners of Keira’s eyes and blended it with a deep violet shade, NARS Matte Eyeshadow in Daphne. To finish the eyes, Romy skipped mascara, and instead added a soft highlight to the inner corners of the eyes with RMS Eye Polish in Lunar.

For Keira’s bright cheeks, Romy created a more pigmented color by mixing Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Matte in Queen with Kevyn Aucoin The Creamy Glow Blush in Liquifuchsia, and blending from the apples of the cheeks to the temples.

Keira’s bright red pout was actually a combination of two bold lipstick shades — NARS Semi-Matte Lipstick in Jungle Red and Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope Lipstick in Brat Pack. Romy suggests using your fingers to press the color directly onto your lips to better control the intensity of the color.

How gorgeous does Keira look, HollywoodLifers? Will you be trying out any of her makeup artist’s tips?
