‘Pretty Little Liars’ fans saw ‘A’s face for the first time ever on the Aug. 11 summer finale. Needless to say, the internet exploded with shocking reactions to the big reveal!

Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) finally came face-to-face with their ultimate enemy on the Aug. 11 summer finale of Pretty Little Liars. This has been six years in the making, so fans went wild over the jaw-dropping reveal of “A!”

Marlene King and the Pretty Little Liars cast didn’t lie — we actually came face-to-face with “A” for the first time in PLL history. We were able to finally see “A” in the flesh after more than 100 episodes. When “A” finally exposed herself, the internet blew up with thousands of fan reactions.

Like all the characters on Pretty Little Liars, Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) has been anxious to find out the identity of the person who’s been terrorizing her and her friends for years. This person also happens to be her brother, Charles DiLaurentis. HollywoodLife.com spoke to Sasha about the finale and how Alison will be affected by the reveal

“I think she’s totally freaked out,” she told us. “It totally blindsides her. This is someone that… I mean, I can’t say too much… This is someone I think Alison would least expect to be ‘A’ and to rock the girls’ world.”

She acknowledged that this is a very “dark story,” but there’s much more to it than that. “It’s a really dark story, but it’s also a really touching story,” she continued. “I think the fans aren’t going to know how to feel about it. It’s not like we’ve made this person just to regurgitate everything so everyone gets answers. It’s a really in-depth, heartbreaking story.”

HollywoodLifers, what did you think of the Pretty Little Liars summer finale? Are you shocked by the identity of “A?” Let us know!
