The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ summer finale is over, and we now have a face for the elusive ‘A.’ The show is jumping forward five years in season 6B, and HollywoodLife.com talked EXCLUSIVELY to Sasha Pieterse about what’s in store for Alison in the future!
After five years of blood, sweat and tears, the girls of Pretty Little Liars found out the identity of “A” on the Aug. 11 summer finale. HollywoodLife.com spoke EXCLUSIVELY to Sasha Pieterse about life after the time jump, and she revealed Alison has undergone a big changes. Plus, will Alison be able to forgive “A” for all that’s gone down? Find out now!
We got a brief glimpse of the girls after the time jump, so what’s in store for Alison? Buckle up. The Alison DiLaurentis we’ve gotten to know over the past six years is a changed woman after the events of the epic summer finale.
“I think it’s kind of unexpected as far Alison goes because we’ve now seen Alison go through so many different things, and I think it’s kind of the opposite of what you think she would do,” Sasha tells us. “These girls have been through so much, and you kind of would think everyone would want to disappear after this. It’s kind of not the case. She’s had such a weird childhood that she’s kind of in a different mindset. She’s kind of reinvented herself. I think fans are really going to like it. Her appearance has kind of changed. I think just her demeanor is so different in what she’s going through now. I think it’s a really cool change for her. It’s really fun for me because I get to play something totally different.”
Whoa. I have a feeling we’re not emotionally prepared for what the show has in store for us in season 6B. The reveal of “A’s” identity definitely rocked Alison’s world, given “A’s” relationship to Alison. Last season, she learned that Charles DiLaurentis, her secret older brother, was “A.” But now we know Charles transitioned into Charlotte, and she later became CeCe Drake. CeCe is the big “A.” After everything “A” has put Alison and the girls through, will Alison forgive her?
“I think she’s very conflicted,” she continues. “It’s not something she really knows the answer to. She’s very confused and hurt, but at the same time, not. It’s one of those situations where there’s no real right way to feel. I’m interested to see how the fans feel, too. What side they take and what their idea of it. As much as it’s super far-fetched, in reality, we all have circumstances where people have done something really wrong to us. We kind of either have to forgive or not. It’s an interesting lesson in that everyone has a different stand to it as far as our characters go. It’s not something that’s cut and dry. It makes everything complicated for everyone.”
Well, color me intrigued! Honestly, I’m still not over that finale, and I’m not sure I can wait months before finding out what has happened to my favorite Rosewood girls! (But I guess I’ll have to.)
HollywoodLifers, what do you think Alison will be up to after the time jump? Let me know!
