Oh, no! Poor Meghan Trainor just announced that she has to cancel the remaining dates of her ‘MTrain Tour’ because of a vocal cord hemorrhage that requires emergency surgery.
Meghan Trainor, 21, delivered some devastating news to her fans on Tuesday, August 11, when she announced that the remainder of her 2015 MTrain Tour was cancelled. The “All About That Bass” singer revealed that she has hemorrhaged her vocal chords for a second time, and now she requires surgery to fix the issue “once and for all.” Meghan also confessed to her fans and followers how scared she is to undergo the operation. Aw!
“To all my fans – I was being careful and taking precautions, but I have hemorrhaged my vocal cord again,” Meghan wrote on Instagram, revealing that her MTrain tour has come to a halt. ” got bronchitis & have been coughing a lot & that pushed it over the edge. Sadly, I will need to cancel the remainder of my tour and get surgery to finally fix this once and for all.”
In the heartbreaking post, Meghan gushed about how much she loves her fans and how letting them down definitely upsets her. “I LOVE touring and seeing your beautiful faces every night. I am determined to do what it takes to get better and come back around stronger than ever. I love you, and thank you for all of your understanding, love and support.”
Unfortunately, for now, there is no word on whether or not the remaining tour dates will be rescheduled once Meghan has fully recovered from her surgery. However, this is not the first time on her MTrain tour that Meghan has been forced to cancel shows. The first time her vocal cords hemorrhaged, Meghan cancelled 3 shows — including ones in Atlantic City, New Jersey and Hamburg, New York.
Meghan also used Instagram to apologize to her tour mates, Charlie Puth and Life of Dillon. “You guys put on great shows every night with big smiles and I will be forever grateful that you were a part of this experience, even though it was cut too soon. Thank you and your teams for everything,” the gracious headliner wrote.
We’re rooting for you and your incredible voice, Meghan — feel better soon!
