Khloe Kardashian is looking her sexiest yet, and it’s all thanks to hard work and dedication — and a professional fitness trainer, of course! Gunnar Peterson, who has been working with the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s star for about three years, is opening up about Khloe’s 35-pound weight loss!
Khloe Kardashian, 31, is keeping up with her family just fine these days. She’s slimmer and more toned than ever, and it’s clear that hours at the gym are paying off. Now, her trainer, Gunnar Peterson, is revealing some surprising facts about her incredible weight loss!
Committing to a workout can be tricky, but for Khloe, it’s a little easier because she actually enjoys the work. “Khloe gives as much to the gym as the gym gives to her,” Gunnar Peterson tells PEOPLE. “She’s in love with fitness.” Khloe never skips a workout, he says. (That makes one of us!) “She never cancels. It can be a night where she’s short on sleep. It can be a day where she has an engagement for that day. She may have something at 8 — then we’re going at 6.”
Gunnar is always switching up his sessions with Khloe to keep things interesting, which is important when you’re working out five days a week! “There is no typical routine,” Gunnar reveals. During Khloe’s workouts, he integrates “different intervals mixed up, whether it’s the motion of the interval or the duration of the interval or the intensity of the interval.” If that sounds like Greek to you, it simply means that he changes up the speeds and weights of activities like jogging, lifting and lunges. “Some days it’s more heart-rate intensive, some days it’s more lower-extremities intensive, some days the upper extremities get a little extra love,” Gunnar adds. It sounds complicated, but if you create a plan and stick to it, exercising will become easier.
Khloe Kardashian Shows Off ‘Revenge Body’ To Haters Who Called Her ‘The Fat One’
Khloe said bye to the haters by stunning on the Sept. 2015 cover of Women’s Health magazine, calling it her “revenge body”. Gunnar’s workouts helped get her there, though Khloe’s love for fitness doesn’t always shine through. “The first 45 days you’re like, ‘F**k this sh*t.’ You’re exhausted, you’re sore, and I actually felt fatter because I was swollen. If you keep going, you’re eventually like, ‘Wow, is that an indentation on my arm? Yeah, it’s a revenge body. But it’s just as much for all my critics who called me ‘the fat one’ for my entire existence.” Good for you, Khlo!
