What’s a wedding without Chandler and Joey? Well apparently it’s still a party — at least it was for Jennifer Aniston. The ‘Friends’ star married Justin Theroux on Aug. 5, and both Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc were missing!
We all wondered where Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc (and also Ross, but who really liked Ross anyway?) were at Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux‘s private wedding in Bel Air. Well, now we know: they actually didn’t receive invites! I’m convinced they got lost in the mail thanks to that darn post office.
“I think they’re a great couple,” Matt, 48, told PEOPLE at a Television Critics Association press party in Los Angeles on August 10. “I think she’s happy. And that’s all I care about is that Jen’s happy. If she wanted me there, I would have been there.”
He also added that he wasn’t at her first wedding to Brad Pitt, either — because he was working.
“I was in Austria working. She called me, and she was like, ‘You’re really not coming to my wedding?’ And I was like, ‘I asked them if they could change the schedule. I would fly and clap and fly out.’ And they said, ‘We can’t do it. It’s too tight,'” Matt said. “It was a small-budget movie in Austria you’ve never heard of. Probably should have left anyway, but s— happens. What are you going to do?”
Matthew Perry also chimed in, admitted he too was surprised by the wedding news. “They’re a lovely couple, and I’m happy for them,” he said before adding, “I wasn’t invited. So what can you do?”
However, we have a feeling the Friends cast is still close (Courteney Cox played Maid of Honor, while Lisa Kudrow was also in attendance). Matt LeBlanc did add in that they are all pretty much a family: “Jen’s like my little sister. Courteney and Lisa are like my big sisters, but Jen’s like my little sister. Matthew’s like my little brother, and David Schwimmer‘s like my big brother. That’s how it all broke down. And it’s literally just like chronological.”
Well, maybe Jen just didn’t want this happening at her wedding:
