Do you wanna build a… Rope swing? The director of ‘Frozen’ is making Disney-loving hearts burst with this insane theory that Anna and Elsa are actually related to Tarzan!
At this point everyone and their mother (and their cousin, sister, bestie and dog) has seen Frozen, however, we will still warn: spoilers ahead! Director Chris Buck, recently revealed what some fans had already guessed: Anna (Kristen Bell) and Elsa’s (Idina Menzel) parents did not actually die in a shipwreck. Actually, the couple remained at sea for some time– long enough to give birth to a certain baby boy. Any guesses who that little boy might be? Yup, the wild title character from Chris’s other film, Tarzan!
“I think [co-director] Jen [Lee] and I were walking to a meeting, and I just start to tell her the entire story,” Chris told MTV News. “I said, ‘Of course Anna and Elsa’s parents didn’t die.’ Yes, there was a shipwreck, but they were at sea a little bit longer than we think they were because the mother was pregnant and she gave birth on the boat to a little boy.”
We know, we know. Your freaking head is exploding– and the theory makes even more sense when Chris explains it further! “They get shipwrecked and somehow they really washed way far away from the Scandinavian waters, and they end up in the jungle,” Chris added. “They end up building a tree house and a leopard kills them, so their baby boy is raised by gorillas. So in my little head, Anna and Elsa’s brother is Tarzan.”
We can just see it now! Anna, Elsa, Tarzan, all living the life in Arandelle. And you just know Tarzan and Olaf would be instant best buds, and Kristoff could totally use Tarzan’s ice-cutting skills. And, and, and, we’re going to need a serious Frozen/Tarzan crossover, like, immediately.
