Congratulations! Jennifer Carpenter and her fiance, Sean Avett, welcomed their first child together, a new report claims. The ‘Dexter’ star spoke on the panel for CBS’s ‘Limitless’ at TCA Aug. 10 and said she was 8-months pregnant while filming the pilot. She now has a flat stomach.
The proof is in the pudding! Jennifer Carpenter, 35, showed off a very flat belly at TCA on Aug. 10, leading us, and many others, to believe that she gave birth to her first child recently. The Dexter star was rumored to be expecting with her fiance, Sean Avett, when photos, showing her with with a baby bump, emerged in February. Jennifer, who spoke on one of the panels, even said she was eight months pregnant while shooting the pilot for CBS’s Limitless.
“I did eight years of research on a show called Dexter about working in law enforcement. I felt pretty equipped. It was more about ignoring my current circumstances of being eight and a half months pregnant while we were shooting the pilot, and asking everyone else to pretend that stomach wasn’t there,” she told the audience of filming the pilot in late March, according to E! News. This means she must have given birth in late spring. Her flat belly was also on display while shopping with her fiance on Saturday, Aug. 8. (See the pic above!)
So how did she hide her baby bump while filming her new series? “We have an incredible costume designer and he worked miracles,” she said. “I’m actually wearing something in the second episode that we tried to wear in the first around my pregnant belly. I don’t know if he’s a magician or what but Marc Webb‘s camera angles, people crossing at the right time, I actually bumped into [co-star Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio]’s desk at one point and that actually made it into the show. It was magic…I have my mother’s frame.”
Jennifer and Sean (of Avett Brothers) have been together since 2013. They started dating shortly after she divorced her Dexter co-star Michael C. Hall, who was her on-screen brother.
Limitless premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. Send Jennifer and Sean your congratulations in the comments section below!
