Perrie Edwards is trying to put Zayn Malik behind her, and HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that Louis Tomlinson’s ex Eleanor Calder is giving her more helpful advice on how to move on from Zayn for good.
Perrie Edwards, 22, and Zayn Malik, also 22, are done, and the Little Mix singer is taking the next step post-breakup by unfollowing and deleting traces of him on her social media. HollywoodLife.com has found out EXCLUSIVELY that her friend Eleanor Calder, 23, who split with Louis Tomlinson, 23, earlier this year, is helping Perrie stay strong and told her it was the “best thing” to do and let Zayn know she doesn’t need him!
“Eleanor has been giving Perrie advice on how to best handle the situation with Zayn,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com. “And how to be in a place of power — don’t contact him no matter what, delete his pics so you’re not reminded of him, and unfollow him on social media so he knows you don’t need him.”
Well, that’s exactly what Perrie did! She deleted all those super cute photos of Zayn from her Instagram account and unfollowed him. Our source also reveals that Perrie’s trying to stay positive, but now she’s in the mad stage of the breakup. Seriously, she said One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” was her favorite summer song — what a dig at Zayn! “Perrie is more angry than hurt right now,” our source continues. “She is just doing her best to stay focused on her music right now. It’s not easy, but she’s doing her best.”
Eleanor Calder Supports Perrie Edwards After Zayn Malik Breakup
HollywoodLife.com previously told you that Eleanor reached out to Perrie after Zayn ended their engagement in July 2015. Eleanor said she was there for Perrie if she ever needed a friend and to “stay strong.” As we all know, Perrie was completely blindsided by the breakup.
Eleanor had some amazing words of wisdom for the heartbroken singer, and Perrie’s definitely taking the steps to get Zayn out of her mind and out of her life for good. “[Eleanor] told [Perrie] not to text, call or have any contact with Zayn whatsoever!” a source told us. “Her advice: ‘Stop looking for happiness in the same place you lost it.’”
HollywoodLife.com has reached out for comment.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Perrie did the right thing by deleting Zayn from her social media? Let us know!
