The year’s CATbaret produced by Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats brought out Hollywood stars and kitty lovers for an evening of music, dance, laughter and purrs! Not to mention a special tribute to Cecil the Lion. Read on for all the EXCLUSIVE details.
The legendary Fred Willard, a longtime friend of Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats, along with Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll star Elaine Hendrix and Hal Sparks, were among the many talented, kitty cat lovers who performed in the annual CATbaret at Hollywood’s Avalon Theater on Aug.1. The cat-themed extravaganza was made possible with the generous help of World’s Best Cat Litter, and other supportive sponsors.
CATbaret, Kitty Bungalow’s 5th annual fundraiser included performances by Fred Willard, Elaine Hendrix , Community‘s Keith David, Mind Games‘ Jaime Ray Newman and Nicole Sullivan of Family Guy. Peace 4 Animals founder Katie Cleary was also on hand to lend her support on the red carpet.
“Kitty Bungalow for Wayward Cats is the ONLY feral cat socialization facility in Los Angeles. In addition, we will be celebrating our 1,000th adoption this year and we will have provided over 5,000 free spay and neuters to homeless cats,” Kitty Bungalow founder Shawn Simons tells HollywoodLife.com.
Everybody Loves Raymond‘s Fred Stoller, Lori Alan of Pixar’s Inside Out, American Idol‘s Keith Harrison and choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon, Doriana Sanchez and the So You Think You Can Dance dancers were also in the Broadway-caliber event.

The fun-filled fundraiser raised $60,000 with every penny going directly to help the homeless street cats of Los Angeles.
