That’s one way to send off ‘The Daily Show’ host! Jon Stewart’s final show ended with an amazing performance from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. This is one send off the host will never, ever forget.
It was a bon voyage fit for Jon Stewart, 52! After 17 long years, the host’s final episode of The Daily Show came to an end and JonVoyage, as everyone called it, was amazing. The legendary Bruce Springsteen, 65, rocked out and performed a few song with E Street Band for an epic finale. It was certainly a night — and reunion — to remember.
Was anyone expecting this to happen on Jon’s final show?! Bruce played with E Street Band didn’t even stop playing to change songs! They did an on-camera guitar exchange with the stagehands — incredible! For the first time in years after their last reunion tour in 2003, Bruce & E Street Band played two songs for the 52-year-old’s last Daily Show episode. The rockstar played “Land of Hope and Dreams” and “Born To Run” with the band and saxophonist Jake Clemons was there for the performance as well! It was the perfect send off for Jon, everyone got up on their feet and danced along to the music.
As amazing as that send off was, fans are still distraught over his departure from the popular Comedy Central show. Some fans decided it was time to take a trip down memory lane while others simply expressed their distress via Twitter. One fan wrote, “If you want to see a grown man get choked up over something trivial, be at my place as I watch Jon Stewart’s last Daily Show tonight.” Tragic. At least Jon’s Daily Show memories continue to live on through videos and clips all over the internet.
