Jon Stewart is just about to sign off from ‘The Daily Show’ for the very last time. Obviously, fans are going through a lot, emotionally speaking, with his departure. Check out some of the ways audiences are showing their appreciation and well wishes!
We’ve all been through a whole lot with Jon Stewart. Sitting behind the desk of The Daily Show since 1996, the genius quasi-talkshow host has talked us through every major event of the last 20 years, from 9/11 to this summer’s gay marriage ruling. Sadly, he will depart from the Comedy Central show for good on Aug. 6, making way for his successor, Trevor Noah. Before he goes, fans are taking to Twitter to share their thanks!

Where am I going to get my daily dose of honest political reporting now that Jon Stewart is leaving?

I can’t even process the Jon Stewart departure. Happy birthday Lizzy. No more Daily Show forever.

Honestly if it wasn’t for Jon Stewart, the confederate flag would still be flying over S.C. That’s a hell of an accomplishment on its own.

Jon Stewart has been a hilarious beacon of light in my life. It’s the end of an era, time to move on. His meaning and value is everlasting.

Jon Stewart made 15yo me feel knowledgeable about politics and able to laugh at the idiocy of it all. Homage.

If you want to see a grown man get choked up over something trivial, be at my place as I watch Jon Stewart’s last Daily Show tonight.

Um, no we’re not crying. Okay, we’re totally crying. It’s Jon freaking Stewart, after all! Are you upset that Jon is departing The Daily Show? Will you continue to tune in with new host Trevor Noah?
