Very disturbing allegations have been made against former Owl City musician Daniel Jorgensen. Authorities have reportedly charged him with attempting to lure a minor back to his hotel room for sex, while he was touring with the band in Atlantic City in 2013.

Daniel Jorgensen, 31, a former backing musician for electronica act Owl City, has been formally charged with criminal sexual contact, a new report claims. The allegations are centered around an alleged incident that occurred in Atlantic City, where the band was performing in 2013. Joregensen allegedly had inappropriate contact with a minor, before trying to convince her to have sex with him.

The prosecutors statement says that Jorgensen “encouraged her to come to Atlantic City where he was working as a musician and band manager on August 29, 2013.”  Authorities are claiming that the musician had criminal sexual contact with the victim on a beach, before trying to lure the girl back to his hotel room for sex. Bail has been set at $100,000. The second-degree attempted luring charge carries a potential penalty of five to 10 years in prison. Authorities have not released the name of the victim.

Daniel Jorgensen Fired From Band In 2013

Joregensen is no longer a member of the band, having been fired in 2013, when the allegations first came to light. Steve Bursky, who is Owl City’s band manager released a statement on December 9, 2013 which said: “As of this weekend, we have terminated Daniel Jorgensen’s employment and all involvement as a touring member of Owl City. Please understand that this business decision does not implicate Daniel in the judicial system, but was both necessary and appropriate given the allegations that have surfaced over the last handful of days.”
