Move over, Kim Kardashian! It’s Nicki Minaj’s turn to have the hottest smartphone app! Nicki and the company that made ‘Kim Kardashian: Hollywood’ are working together to launch a brand new game!
Considering her unique style and attitude, Nicki Minaj, 32, and video games seem like a perfect match! Clearly, she thinks so, as the “Feeling Myself” singer wants to be the latest craze on everyone’s phone. Candy Crush and Trivia Crack better watch their backs because here comes Nicki!
Glu Mobile announced their partnership with Nicki on Aug. 4, reports the New York Post. That’s a smart move, as Glu is the company that made Kim Kardashian’s Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game. Kim’s Hollywood was a gaming smash, making her millions of dollars in royalties. While Nicki’s favorite color is pink, she might be seeing green over Kim’s financial success.
Details about the game are scant, but the game will feature Nicki’s likeness and voice. It will also feature her “creative direction,” according to Glu CEO Niccolo de Masi, reports The Verge. Along with Kim Kardashian, Glu is producing games featuring Katy Perry and Jason Statham.
Nicki’s game could be as big if not bigger than Kim’s. The “Anaconda” singer — who is no stranger to social media — has over 102 million followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. That means over 100 million Barbz who would love for a chance to have a Nicki game with them wherever they go. The game would also give Nicki a way to promote her upcoming events and music. It’s a win-win! However, Barbz will have to wait until the middle of 2016. That’s when the game is expected to launch.
Will Nicki’s bae, Meek Mill, appear in her game the way that Kanye West and North West appeared in Kim’s? On May 27, Glu unveiled three new characters for Kim Kardashian: Hollywood and it clearly showed Yeezy and Nori. It was later revealed that players could adopt or have a baby, allowing players to create the entire Kardashian family!
Are you excited for this Nicki Minaj smartphone game, HollywoodLifers? Or do you want to play the other games coming out from Glu Mobile?
