Sweet! Kylie Jenner introduced a new furry friend on Snapchat on August 4 — an adorable gray & white bunny. Taking things up to a new level, she gave the bunny an unexpected name: ‘Bruce’. This can’t be a coincidence!
Controversy is practically Kylie Jenner‘s middle name. As if wedding rumors aren’t enough, Kylie, 18, named her new pet bunny Bruce, after her father who now goes by Caitlyn Jenner, 65. Is this a dedication to her father?
As an active Snapchat user, Kylie’s fans always know what’s going on in her life. She showed her followers that she got a pet bunny on August 4, and while the videos are super cute, one really caught our attention — the name reveal. In the snap, you can hear Kylie say “Hi Bruce!” Whoa, didn’t see that coming!
Kylie got the bunny with her BFF Pia Mia, who can be heard in another video of the pet calling Bruce “The new addition to the Ky and P clan,” and asking Kylie, “How do you feel about having a bunny?” While driving the Ky and P clan home, Kylie excitedly replied, “I feel so good!”
Although the video is the only evidence that the bunny’s name actually is Bruce, it is a rather peculiar choice. Bruce isn’t the most common moniker for a bunny, and the name has quite the relevance to Kylie. Her father’s name used to be Bruce, but after a gender transition in June, her dad prefers the name Caitlyn. Then again, Khloe Kardashian did admit in an interview that Kylie and the rest of their sisters often still refer to Caitlyn as Bruce, and she doesn’t mind. Regardless, it’s hard not to think that her dad has something to do with it!
Bruce is Kylie’s third pet she’s gotten since December 2014, when she got her puppy Norman and her dream of owning an Italian greyhound came true. She added to her happy pet family again in March with another Italian greyhound named Bambi. Who knows, if she loves Bruce as much as her pups, she might get a another bunny and name it Caitlyn!
What do YOU think of Kylie naming her bunny Bruce, HollywoodLifers? How do you think Caitlyn feels about it? Sound off below!
