No bad blood here! Taylor Swift is opening up about the romantic crossover between she and her group of friends in this month’s ‘Vanity Fair,’ and the superstar wants you to know that it’s the cause of zero drama!
Taylor Swift and her powerful group of lady pals are basically taking over the world (see: T Swift’s now-iconic music video for “Bad Blood”). In the September issue of Vanity Fair—that Taylor beautifully covers!– she dishes on her bestie circle, which includes a diverse crew of entertainers and artists such as Girls creator Lena Dunham and supermodel Karlie Kloss. Though the women are all very different, some of them have a few things in common: the guys they date! However, Taylor assures readers that, even though she and her friends might go out with some of the same people, it’s nothing they hold against one another! “We even have girls in our group who have dated the same people,” Taylor told Vanity Fair of her friend group, which also includes Lorde, Emma Stone, Selena Gomez and Jaime King. “It’s almost like the sisterhood has such a higher place on the list of priorities for us. It’s so much more important than some guy that it didn’t work out with.”
Being the pragmatic gal that she is, Taylor expanded on why it’s so important for she and her friends to be above guy-related drama, and it probably won’t surprise you to hear that she’s, like, so wise. “When you’ve got this group of girls who need each other as much as we need each other, in this climate, when it’s so hard for women to be understood and portrayed the right way in the media,” she trailed off. “Now more than ever we need to be good and kind to each other and not judge each other—and just because you have the same taste in men, we don’t hold that against each other.”
Talk about squad goals. Uh, we’re still waiting for our invite into the circle, Taylor! Ready when you are– and we’ll totally bring snacks and wine to the next sleepover!
Do you think it’s cool that Taylor and her friends are okay with dating the same people? Or is that a major no-no?
