Meek Mills’ feud with Drake is causing some serious tension in his relationship with girlfriend Nicki Minaj, as she continues to stand idle and do nothing about it — just like Beyonce refused to get involved in Solange’s elevator fight with Jay Z after the 2014 MET Gala.
Drake, 28, totally dissed Meek Mill, 28, during his Toronto show on Aug. 3. So not only does Meek want to retaliate during his joint concert with girlfriend Nicki Minaj, 32, tonight, Aug. 4, in Charlotte, North Carolina, but he wants her to defend him and publicly stand by his side. He’s mad that thus far, she has remained silent on the matter, just as Beyonce stayed out of Solange‘s elevator fight with Jay Z after the 2014 MET Gala.
“Meek is furious Drake blasted him last night, and he’s begging Nicki to allow him to retaliate tonight. He’s still mad at Nicki for standing idle and not defending him, just like Beyoncé did when Solange attached Jay Z in the elevator,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, when Drake took the stage on Aug. 3, he dissed Nicki’s boyfriend hard by rapping both of his Meek diss tracks, “Back To Back” and “Charged Up,” while also flashing hilarious memes of Nicki and Meek on a screen behind him.
“Meek is at war. He’s at war with Drake for obvious reasons and Nicki because she’s just standing there. She’s acting like she doesn’t see him getting his butt kicked. He wants to retaliate on Drake hard tonight and he’s begging Nicki to allow that to happen at her show. Meek’s got a lot of pride, ego of course, and street credit. He’s not about to let this wanna be hood and gangster rapper, known as Drake, disrespect him any further. He wants to obliterate him once and for all and send his preppy a** back to Degrassi!” our source adds.
Unfortunately for Meek Mill, Degrassi just aired its series finale this week.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Nicki Minaj defend Meek Mill? Should she let him retaliate on Drake during their concert? Vote in our poll and tell us how you feel!
