Well…this might’ve gotten a bit weird. Selena Gomez and Kendall Jenner were at the same party on Aug. 1, but considering they’ve had a bit of a falling out, it’s highly likely that an awkward run-in may have ensued.
They can’t avoid each other forever! Kendall Jenner, 19, and Selena Gomez, 23, were once close friends, but their relationship disintegrated in 2014 (allegedly because of Kendall’s close friendship with Selena’s ex, Justin Bieber). So was it TOTALLY awkward when the girls attended the same party together on Aug. 1!?
Over the weekend, Kylie Jenner, 17, posted a bunch of fun pics of her and Kendall wearing angel costumes while attending what looked like a super fun event with friends. Selena didn’t share any images of herself from the party, but after some sleuthing, we’ve spotted some photos of her in a similar angelic get-up with her pals! (SEE ALL THE PICS BELOW).
Considering all three stars are some of the biggest names in Young Hollywood, it’s not all that surprising that they’d end up at the same event, but in this case, it’s definitely interesting to note, considering their history. Selena actually used to be really good friends with the Jenner girls (remember when they all attended Coachella together in 2014?!), but they haven’t been seen hanging out throughout the last several months.
While it’s never been confirmed, it seems that the Biebs might have a bit to do with the falling out. Although Justin is Selena’s ex, Kendall’s still remained very good friends with him. And even though the “Good For You” singer has been spotted with Justin many times since the breakup, they’re not always on the best of terms, so perhaps she wasn’t too keen on the duo’s close friendship?
As far as we know, the last time Selena and Kendall were together was the Met Ball on May 4, and to make things even more weird, Justin was there, too! Luckily, both then and now, Sel had a great group of friends by her side to distract her from any possible awkwardness.
Tell us, HollywoodLifers: Do you think Kendall and Selena ran into one another at the party?
