Things are back on track for Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett, who went through a rough patch in 2014 after he allegedly cheated on her, and the aftermath played out on their reality TV show. But what exactly was it that helped the pair get through the hard times? In a new interview, Kendra reveals their secret!
Kendra Wilkinson, 30, shocked us all when she took Hank Baskett, 32, back after he was accused of cheating on her with a transgender woman. But somehow, their marriage seems to be stronger than ever these days, and the former Playboy bunny is sharing how she thinks they were able to make it work!
“I had it in my mind since day one that everything will work itself out, no matter which way it goes,” Kendra told Us Weekly. “I think being on TV helped us expedite everything a little bit more and push us more into the therapy a lot more. It pushed us a little bit more to get to the root of our problem and the root of our feelings.”
Right after rumors of Hank’s affair came out, Kendra and Hank began filming a new season of their WETV series, Kendra On Top, and the entire immediate aftermath of the bombshell reports was caught on camera. After that, the pair filmed a season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, where they continued to work on their issues.
After that came another season of Kendra On Top, which will premiere on Aug. 21. “It’s a powerful season,” Kendra admitted to Us. “We’re just showing the healing process. Everything that really happens after something tragic happened. We’re human. We’re not perfect people. This is pretty much a TV diary of what we’re going through.”
And while the couple is still having some issues, as the show’s trailer revealed, it’s pretty clear that Kendra is ready to move on. She even defended her hubby against those who are still bashing him for the affair allegations on July 18. “This is the love of my life, she wrote. “A true man. I believe in forgiveness and I believe in him. I take my vows very serious and won’t let people’s beliefs get in my way of what I know. Everyone that truly knows @hank_baskett knows the truth and everyone who doesn’t creates their own ideas n that’s ok but don’t F***K with me and why I love and stand for. Love the support but all the other 2 cents can kiss me a**.”
