Let’s hope Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family can put aside their differences at her funeral. As the Brown and Houston family get ready to lay her to rest, a source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com family members are afraid fighting will occur between the two sides during the memorial.
Hopefully no family brawls will happen during Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s, 22, funeral. Although the Browns and Houstons have their differences, they have to unite when the time comes to celebrate Krissy’s life. However, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY family members are afraid fights will break out at Krissy’s funeral.
It isn’t a secret that there’s tension between the Brown family and the Houston family. On August 1, the two families are expected to come together to commemorate Krissy’s life with a memorial ceremony at St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, GA. Unfortunately, some family members don’t think that’s going to happen. “Family members are expecting the funeral not to be about Bobbi Kristina and more about the war between family members,” a source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com. “There is so much bickering back and forth that some family members are expecting major drama, potential fights and anything else that would ruin what the day is all about. Its going to be soap opera the entire time.” Sadly, this isn’t the first report of both families bickering over Bobbi Kristina’s funeral.
Arguments over what kind of ceremony Whitney Houston‘s daughter should have for her funeral started after Bobbi’s death. While her father Bobby Brown, 46, wants a memorial, Krissy’s aunt Pat Houston wants to celebrate her life with a Sweet 16 that Bobbi never had. That idea upset a few family members, especially Whitney’s cousin Dionne Warwick. “Dionne is threatening to not attend the funeral because Pat Houston is taking over, even though she should be making decisions with Bobby [Brown] and not doing it on her own,” the Daily Mail’s source claims. “Dionne feels it’s stupid and disrespectful to Bobbi Kristina.” However, seeing how cordial the Browns and Houstons were towards each other at Krissy’s wake, there’s a possibility the brawls will be nonexistent.
Bobby Brown & Cissy Houston Pay Their Respects To Bobbi Kristina
Bobby, Cissy Houston, 81, and both sides of the Browns and Houstons were in Atlanta, GA to say their goodbyes to Krissy at her wake. The families never really made any contact with each other at the wake seeing as how they both avoided each other. The Houstons paid their respects first and the Browns followed suit after Cissy and her family left. Even though both families steered clear of each other, they all remained cordial throughout the wake. Hopefully that stays the same during Krissy’s funeral on August 1.
Our thoughts are with the Browns and Houstons during this difficult time as they lay their precious loved one to rest.
