This. Is. Everything. The casts of ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ may not be crossing over to each other’s shows anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean their not besties! The two casts posed together for a pic and well, we’re obsessed.
Fear the Walking Dead may be a prequel to The Walking Dead, but the cast totally looks good together in present day. A giant group got together for an amazing photo posted on Twitter, which featured new zombie hunter, Kim Dickens, experts Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, and Andrew Lincoln, and a lot more — you have to see this.
AMC put it pretty good when tweeting out the pic with the caption, “Mind explodes.” Needless to say, the cast looks absolutely adorable all cozied up together in one shot, making funny faces. It definitely gave us hope that one day, the shows would crossover — even though right now, it’s not happening. “Never say never, but there are no plans right now,” executive producer Dave Erickson told our sister site, TVLine. “The geography is an obstacle, and frankly somewhere down the road it will become an even greater obstacle.”
Additionally, with the different cities (FTWD will actually be Los Angeles), it wouldn’t really make sense to call it a spinoff — the new show, beginning August 23, will take place right before the zombies enter. “It’s not a spinoff,” Kim Dickens told Paste magazine. “It’s more of a parallel world in the same universe. It’s been fun to have completely new characters and completely new stories and a completely new location.” Makeup effects artist, producer and director Greg Nicotero added that they “didn’t want to do CSI” or a “cookie-cutter show that was the exact same thing.”
Needless to say, we can already tell by the trailers it won’t be the same, and will still be epic. However, the cast does look pretty bloody good together, amiright?
