Final goodbyes are being said to Bobbi Kristina Brown before her family lays her body to rest. Bobby Brown and Cissy Houston both showed up to Bobbi Kristina’s wake on July 31 to pay their respects before she is buried.
This is so heartbreaking. Bobby Brown, 46, and Cissy Houston, 81, said their goodbyes to Bobbi Kristina Brown, 22, on July 31 in Atlanta, Georgia. The two had their respective sides of the family in attendance at Krissy’s wake. Although the Browns and Houstons kept their distance from each other, the families were cordial towards the other during this difficult time in their lives.
The mood was somber and respectful at Krissy’s wake inside the Murray Brothers Funeral Home in Atlanta, Georgia before her two funeral ceremonies. Both sides of BK’s family paid their respects separately with Whitney Houston‘s mother Cissy and the Houston family going into the funeral home first. The Houstons arrived around 6 p.m. while Bobby and the rest of his family waited patiently outside until the Houstons were done visiting Bobbi Kristina’s body.
Once Cissy and the rest of the Houstons left, Bobby was accompanied into the home with his wife Alicia Etheredge, 41, while Bobbi Kristina’s aunts, Tina, Leolah, and her brother Bobby Jr. followed suit. Once Bobby and his family were finished, the devastated singer was seen leaving the funeral home in a white limousine. The way the Houstons and Browns acted towards each other at the wake was very cordial compared to the recent reports of the two butting heads over Bobbi Kristina’s funeral plans.
Houston & Brown Families Fighting Over Bobbi Kristina’s Funeral Plans
While the family is making final preparations to bury their loved one, recent reports reveal the Houstons and Browns were fighting over Bobbi Kristina’s funeral plans. Both sides had a different idea of how they wanted the young girl’s funeral to go. “The Houston family really wants Bobbi Kristina‘s funeral to be a big celebration of her life. They want it to have a party atmosphere, filled with laughs not tears,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Unfortunately Bobby Brown doesn’t agree with this. He’s absolutely heartbroken and doesn’t like the idea of it being like her ‘Sweet 16′party. He and the Houston family are really butting heads over who is running the show.”
With the funeral just around the corner, we sincerely hope the two families can set aside their differences at the event. By the looks of the way they acted towards each other at Krissy’s wake, it doesn’t seem like family drama will be a problem at all.
