Who ya gonna call? Well, Chris Pratt, perhaps! Rumors are swirling that Chris is joining the upcoming ‘Ghostbusters’ remake after he posted some pretty outrageous pictures that definitely seem to hint at his involvement in the project!
Everyone is freaking out about Paul Feig‘s all female remake of the iconic film Ghostbusters, however, there’s another (more traditional) reboot that’s also in the works— and Chris Pratt might be starring! Chris took to Instagram on July 30 to post some hilarious pictures of goats (yes, the animal), however, it’s the photos’ captions which have us thinking Chris is alluding to knocking out some ghosts! Check ’em out!
Chris posted three separate photos of goats, the first two of which were accompanied with the captions, “Dunna nene nene” and “Dunna nunna nene.” Uh, excuse us? Hang on, though, because the third caption sorta ties everything together.
“I ain’t fraid’a no goats,” he wrote alongside a cute (but admittedly derpy) looking goat. Oh. So put the three captions together and what we’ve got here is the Ghostbusters theme song!
Though Chris has denied his involvement with the project in the past, could this be his way of quietly letting us know he’s now on board? While we continue to speculate on his involvement, we do have reason to believe that the movie itself is still going forward.
The film’s scribe, Drew Pearce, has already completed the script! “I’ve finished my work on that in the last couple weeks,” he told MTV. “Obviously it’s top secret, but there’s a gigantic, bold idea that I came up with and the Russo brothers– who did Captain America: The Winter Soldier and are doing Civil War at the moment– and Ivan Reitman, who did the original movie, are going to take that and run with it. Obviously I cannot tell you what it is, but hopefully in one year’s time you’ll know!”
Well, matters get more complicated still, because Ivan is now denying the film’s existence! “There has been a lot of excitement recently about what is happening with the Ghostbusters franchise,” he said in a statement. “As the producer of the new ’Ghostbusters’ film, I feel the need to clarify. There is only one new ’Ghostbusters’ movie and that is the Paul Feig directed version coming next July, presently filming and going fantastically. The rest is just noise.”
Confusing right? Anyways, while we wait for any confirmation one way or the other, check out Chris’ Instagrams below!
One thing Chris did announce was to his 2.2 million Facebook fans to help him with a new header for his Facebook page. In his comical post, Chris tells fans how he doesn’t know how to use Photoshop and is looking for a fan to create a header, featuring the characters he has played: Peter Quill, Owen, Andy, and Emmet.
In addition, Chris is looking for “other fun stuff including but not limited to previous roles, my family, eagles, american flags, guns, cool ford raptors, cigars, explosions, anything sly stallone, bloodsport, early steven segal, anything that looks bad ass.”
Fans have the opportunity to reply with their best creations on Facebook and have already started to submit their headers. Chris will choose a winner and have their header featured on his official Facebook page. Additionally, he might even take them to a “free dinner at applebees or something like that who knows sky’s the limit.”
