Even though Kim Kardashian has been Team Caitlyn from the start, it’s left the pregnant star stuck smack in the middle of some major drama between her and her ex-wife, Kris Jenner.
Kim Kardashian, 34, is in an very uncomfortable position as she remains in-between her mom, Kris Jenner, 59, and her former stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner, 65. Since Kris and Caitlyn have yet to meet, HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that Kim feels stuck in their “crossfire” as she continues to support Caitlyn. Just what she needs, more family drama!
Since Kris and Caitlyn have yet to come face-to-face, things are more than a little bit awkward as their children try to maintain relationships with both of them during this massive transition period in their family. However, a source has revealed EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com that it’s Kim who is bearing most of the tense encounters and conversations with Kris and Caitlyn separately. Even though she’s not Caitlyn’s biological child, their bond is incredibly strong thanks to the support Kim provided her with during her gender transition.
“Kim has been the most understanding of all the kids when it came to Bruce’s transition to Caitlyn,” our source explained. “There is a level of trust between Caitlyn and Kim that no one else has in the family. It’s hard on Kim and she often feels caught in the crossfire between Caitlyn and Kris.” Poor Kim. Although she’s used to their being drama in the family, now that she’s pregnant with baby #2 she really doesn’t need the added stress.
Of course, Kim and Caitlyn have already come to blows on the very first episode of I Am Cait, which aired Sunday night, July 26. In the episode, Kim reminds Caitlyn that the Kardashians are still her family — and that she shouldn’t be shutting them out or putting them down on her way to the top. It was a pretty eye-opening argument between the two, but thankfully it doesn’t seem to have affected the friendship that they share.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers — Do YOU think Kris and Caitlyn need to face their demons and hash things out on their own? Should they leave Kim and the rest of the family out of it? Comment below with your thoughts!
