Wait, what?! During Taylor Swift’s performance of ‘Bad Blood’ at her July 25 concert, one of her dancers dressed up as a SHARK! Was Taylor getting in a dig at frenemy Katy Perry, whose ‘Left Shark’ become a global sensation after Super Bowl performance? Click to WATCH!
Is Taylor Swift, 25, trying to get in on Katy Perry’s shark success? It appears one of Taylor’s dancers dressed up like a shark during her performance of “Bad Blood” on July 25 at her Massachusetts concert. As we all know, one of Katy’s dancers at the Super Bowl, dubbed the “Left Shark,” became a phenomenon after the show. Given who “Bad Blood” is about and the deadly creature’s connection to Katy, was Taylor shading Katy in concert? Or was Taylor caught by surprise?
It was the last thing we expected to see. A dancer dressed as a shark popped up behind Taylor before the “Bad Blood” chorus. Taylor started giggling at the sight of the shark and continued on with her performance. But let’s take a minute to think about this. Taylor brought out a shark out on stage. Not a whale, turtle or baby seal. A shark.
There is so much to talk about! First, Taylor’s shark appearance is eerily similar to the sharks Katy brought to the stage during her Super Bowl halftime show in Feb. 2015. Katy’s “Left Shark” notably forgot his moves during the performance. “Left Shark” was who everyone was talking about post-Super Bowl. Katy and Taylor’s feud reportedly started after Katy allegedly stole Taylor’s back-up dancers.
Katy also dissed Taylor during her halftime show by dressing her dancers in high-waisted polka dot bikinis. Was Taylor trying to get back at Katy by stealing her shark-tastic thunder? The shark in question also popped up during “Bad Blood,” Taylor’s song that is notoriously about Katy. Is all of this just a coincidence? Maybe so. But it seems very suspicious!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Taylor was throwing shade at Katy with her shark? Let us know!
