After the success of ‘Trainwreck,’ the summer blockbuster’s star, Amy Schumer, has quickly become one of Hollywood’s hottest commodities. Everyone under the sun wants to work with her — even Selena Gomez.
During a July 21 radio interview, Selena Gomez, 23, revealed she’s just like the rest of us. As in, she has a severe obsession with Amy Schumer, 34. While she plans to “finagle” her way onto the funny girl’s hit Comedy Central show, Inside Amy Schumer, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that it won’t happen…unless she agrees to poke fun at her ex, Justin Bieber, 21!
“Everyone wants to work with Amy right now so Selena would definitely have to get in line. But Amy would consider it,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “One thing that would need to happen is Selena would definitely have to make fun of Justin Bieber to be a part of the show.”
Is that a sacrifice the “Good for You” songstress is willing to make? It sounds like she really wants to get creative with the comedienne, so…maybe? “I am trying to finagle my way onto her TV show, so, maybe that’s how I’ll find a way to work with her and be around her,” Selly said during a phoner with “The TJ Show” on Boston’s 103.3 AMP Radio. “I’m a huge fan. I think she’s amazing.”
Dissing the Biebs might be difficult to do right now, though. Well, you know, because of that sweet birthday serenade he gave her for her 23rd birthday on July 22. We’ve gotta admit. That was pretty adorable.
She celebrated the big 2-3 in London with her good friends, but the distance didn’t stop Justin from wishing her a happy birthday. “Justin serenaded Happy Birthday to Selena from his studio on FaceTime,” an insider revealed to us. “He started the conversation by holding out one red rose and pretended to give it to Selena through the screen. He knows Selena loves roses.” Our hearts can hardly handle.
HollywoodLifers — given that Selena and Justin seem to be in a good place right now, do you think she should make fun of him just for a guest spot on Amy’s show? Let us know what you think!
