Happy birthday, Maya Rudolph! One of our favorite funny ladies is turning 43 today, July 27! Maya never fails to make us laugh, and we want to make her feel just as good by helping her celebrate her special day!

Maya Rudolph is seriously one of the best comedians on the planet, so of course we have to recognize her on her birthday! From Saturday Night Live to her hilarious movies, Maya is a queen, and we love her so much! She had a particularly great year, celebrating SNL’s iconic 40th anniversary, becoming a prestigious university graduation speaker — and making us roll on the floor with her impressions. Let’s take a look at everything that made being 42 so great for Maya!

It’s a huge honor to be a cast member on Saturday Night Live, and Maya is one of the most memorable Not Ready For Primetime Players. It was only fitting that she return for the show’s milestone 40th anniversary celebration, along with legions of its other famous alums. Maya stole the show, though, doing her spot-on Beyoncé impression in an amazing bit with Martin Short, as they presented the highlights of SNL’s many years of musical sketches. Who else would be better for this role than Queen Bey? Maya as Queen Bey!

She pulled out her Beyoncé impression again when she had the honor of being Tulane University’s 2015 commencement speaker. And singer, we should say. Maya, as Beyoncé, sang an over-the-top rendition of the National Anthem. She closed out her address with flawless versions of “Single Ladies” and “Drunk In Love” — much to the delight of the graduating class. What a legend.

We have to say though, Maya’s best moment came in the form of another impression — her jab at Rachel Dolezal! Wearing a curly wig precariously perched on top of her own hair, she told Seth Meyers on Late Night that people had been telling her over and over that they were sad she wasn’t on SNL anymore to play Rachel. Well, she gave the people what they wanted and reenacted Rachel’s now-famous interview, word-for-word. It was brilliant! We hope that Maya keeps us laughing throughout the next year!

HollywoodLifers, help us wish Maya a happy birthday in the comments!
