Kanye West Throws Mic Into Crowd At End Of His Pan Am Games Set — Watch

Heads up! Kanye West helped close out the Pan Am Games on July 26. Though, when Yeezy’s microphone stopped working, he figured HE was done – and he threw the mic into the crowd before leaving the stage! Click to see!

Talk about a mic drop! When Kanye West, 38, does something, he certainly goes big. Yeezy was on hand for the end of the 2015 Pan Am Games, and his performance left everyone speechless — including his microphone! At what would be the end of Kanye’s set, he added a dramatic exclamation point to it by throwing his mic into the crowd!

Kanye was one of the highlights of the Pan Am Games’ closing ceremonies on July 26, reports SB Nation. Yeezy wowed the 40,000 fans and athletes at Toronto’s Rogers Center with a medley that featured Stronger, Black Skinhead and Power. However, after multiple technical difficulties throughout the set, the power to his mic seemed to fail. Yikes!

Kanye was reportedly doing “Good Life” when his mic finally died. Instead of waiting for a replacement, Kanye figured that it was as good as a time as ever to finish. With a smile (or as close as Yeezy gets to a grin) he lobbed the busted piece of equipment high up into the air!

The crowd loved it, reportedly chanting “Kanye!” as he left the stage. The official word was that Kanye suffered a “technical error.” The television audience reportedly didn’t suffer the error, as the music continued to play on the broadcast. It’s possible that Kanye didn’t even know that his mic had died and he was listening to the playback. Or maybe he just wanted to end his set with the best of all mic drops? Either way, it’s a bummer that the Games had already ended, because he may have taken home a medal for that impressive toss!

Kanye West’s Empowering Advice To Caitlyn Jenner: ‘F*** Everybody This Is Who I Am’

Kanye’s ultimate mic drop seemed to convey a simple message, one he gave to Caitlyn Jenner on the first episode of I Am Cait. While visiting Cait, along with Kim Kardashian, Yeezy shows some huge support for Caitlyn. Yeezy tells her to not worry about what other people think, and to have a “f*ck everybody, this is who I am!” kind of attitude.

What do you think about Kanye tossing his mic, HollywoodLifers? Is it the best way to end a set?
