“I want to be a part of Kaitlyn’s life more than anything, and to be a part of this family, would mean so much to me,” Shawn says on the clip for tonight’s finale. After grabbing Kaitlyn’s mother inside, he brings her out to sit down with both her mother and father together. “The nerves start to kick in because this is probably going to be one of the most important conversations I’ve ever had in my entire life.”
And the plea begins. “I care about your daughter more than anything, and I love her very much, and I’ve expressed that to her,” he began. “I never thought in a million years that I’d be sitting here right now, but with that being said, I’ve never been more sure about anything in my life.”
Shawn was definitely looking nervous but actually staying pretty calm, while her mother appeared to be tearing up a little bit! “I do plan on proposing to your daughter next week, and I do want to marry her and spend my life with her, and I just want to get both of your blessings before I do that,” he said and honestly, her parents looked seriously shocked and not sure how to react.
