Blake Shelton returned to the stage for the first time following his divorce from Miranda Lambert and acknowledged that the past week hasn’t been easy during his show at Country Jam USA in Wisconsin on July 24.
He’s back on stage, y’all! Blake Shelton, 39, may be dealing with his divorce from now ex-wife Miranda Lambert, 31, but he didn’t let that stop him from hitting the stage at Country Jam USA in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on July 24. It was his first show since the breakup, and he even talked about his tough week.
Blake took the stage at the music festival and played for 45 minutes, before thunder and lightning put an end to the concert. But it was one quip Blake made that was pretty shocking considering all that’s gone down over the past couple of days. When Blake asked the TV cameras to scan the audience for him, and they ignored his request, The Voice judge joked, “Man, this isn’t my week,” according to Us Weekly.
After the show, Blake was apologetic about his concert ending early. “Sorry we got cut short Eau Claire… next time we’ll make up for it!” he wrote on Twitter. Despite their breakup, Blake and Miranda appear to have split amicably. In fact, early on July 24, the pair exchanged some playful tweets about their pal Ashley Monroe.
“Hey Miranda can u believe there’s people who haven’t bought Ashley Monroe’s new album? Isn’t that shocking?!!” Blake tweeted. Miranda replied, “No I can’t because it is the best work she has ever done! I love it! She also added, “We love you Ashley Monroe.”
Blake Shelton Plans To ‘Clear The Air’ About Miranda Lambert Divorce In TV Interview
The country power couple announced they were ending their 4-year marriage on July 20 and released a statement. As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, amid allegations that Blake may have strayed during their marriage, the reality TV judge is planning a TV interview tell-all to set the record straight about the divorce.
“Blake is trying to figure out the best way to address all of this,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It most likely will be done via a sit down interview to clear the air once a lot of the dust settles.”
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Is Blake handling the divorce the right way?
