Things are looking up for John Stamos! Following his stint in rehab, the ‘Full House’ actor has left the facility and reassured his fans that he’s doing much better than he did a month ago.
It’s been a crazy summer so far for John Stamos, 51, and now things are slowly starting to settle down. The actor has been MIA ever since his DUI arrest on June 12 and now he’s back and ready to get into the swing of things!
A little over a month since John’s DUI arrest, the actor announced his well-being on Twitter for the world to know. Uncle Jesse tweeted after returning from rehab, “I’m back! Took a month to take care of things. Healthy. Feeling grateful for the love & support of family & friends.” Thankfully the actor is feeling much better than he did on June 12 when he was arrested for DUI in Beverly Hills, Calif. and then sent to the hospital because for an unknown medical condition.
Not too long after John was admitted into the hospital, he decided it was time to take action and check in to rehab. The actor was reported to begin a residential program for the treatment of substance abuse on July 10, a month after he was first arrested for driving erratically in Beverly Hills. While People reported John entered rehab early July, it’s safe to assume the 51-year-old entered an unknown rehabilitation center late June 2015 because that’s when all of his Twitter activity came to a halt.
John Stamos Confirms ‘Fuller House’ Spin Off
Now that John is back in tip-top shape, he can get back to working on the new spinoff show of the beloved Full House. The show appropriately titled Fuller House is set to air in 2016 all thanks to Netflix. The online streaming service picked up the spinoff for 13 episodes, but not before airing a one-hour reunion special. Fuller House is slated to star Candace Cameron-Bure (DJ Tanner), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner), and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler). “Candace has three boys and it’s sort of a reversal and we turn the house over to her,” John explained the premise of the spinoff. “It’s a labor of love and we’ve literally been trying for so many years to get it right and I think we finally got it perfect.”
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Are you glad John was able to get the help he needed?
