Hulk Hogan has apologized for his unacceptable racist remarks! Hulk was fired by the WWE after audio dropped of the wrestler using racial slurs — and Hulk is now saying that he deeply regrets his words.
Hulk Hogan, 61, was fired by the WWE on July 23 after reports allege that he used the n-word multiple times in a conversation recorded on his leaked sex tape. Disgusting! The organization not only terminated the iconic wrestler from his contract, but scrubbed all mentions of him from their website. The age of Hulkamania is officially over. Hulk has now apologized for his racist remarks in an official statement
“Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation,” Hulk said in a statement released to People magazine. “It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it.”
“This is not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise,” Hulk continued. “I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs.”
It’s an important statement to make after such a disappointing reveal about the wrestling great. In addition to his firing, Hulk was also removed from the WWE Hall of Fame. The remarks in his sex tape were shocking. “My daughter Brooke [Hogan] jumped sides on me,” Hogan reportedly told Heather Clem, as he was allegedly angry that his Brooke’s music career was going to be funded by a “black billionaire guy.”
“I don’t know if Brooke was f***ing the black guy’s son. I mean, I don’t have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f***ing n*****s. But then when it comes to nice people and s***, and whatever. “I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f*** some n*****, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n***** worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player! I guess we’re all a little racist. F*****g n*****.”
Absolutely unacceptable. We’re glad that Hulk has seen how truly disgusting his words were, and hopefully can continue to learn from his mistakes. HollywoodLifers, do you think Hulk’s apology is sincere? Tell us in the comments and be sure to take our poll!
