Aw, Caitlyn. In a new preview for ‘I Am Cait,’ Caitlyn Jenner finds herself unable to sleep, woken in the middle of the night with the insatiable desire to do good by the transgender movement.
When I Am Cait premieres on E! on July 26, don’t expect to see Caitlyn Jenner sitting back and relaxing. In this preview, we see the 65-year-old wide awake at 4:30 am, simply because her mind is so uneasy thinking about how many transgender people are suffering. Caitlyn knows this is a major platform for her to help people, and she just doesn’t want to waste the opportunity.
“It’s like 4:32 in the morning, and I can’t sleep,” Caitlyn says in this pretty heart wrenching clip. “I feel bad that these– especially young– people, are going through such a difficult time in their life. We don’t want people dying over this. We don’t want people murdered over this stuff” she adds, in a nearly command-like manner.
Caitlyn’s late night musings don’t stop there though. In fact, she then moves on to take on some of the duties of the transgender movement herself, and it’s pretty heavy stuff. “What a responsibility I have towards this community,” she says. “Am I going to do everything right? Am I gonna say the right things? Do I project the right image? My mind is just spinning with thoughts.” Click to hear more details about Caitlyn.
Finally, to close out the segment, Caitlyn says the only thing she really can, and it’s heartbreaking. “I just hope I get it right,” she says. ” I hope I get it right,” she adds one more time, showing clearly just how much this means to her. Watch the emotional video below!
What do you think of the latest I Am Cait clip? Do you think that Caitlyn doing this docu-series will help the trans community in the way she hopes it does?
